A list of wonderful books

Risk by John Adams

My very first book on risk. It has nothing to do with finance and therefore is a brilliant book for anyone who wants to start with understanding what risk is, rather than what is asset price volatility (common and flawed financial risk measure).

Antifragile, The Black Swan and Fooled by Randomness by Nassim Nicholas Taleb

While style of Nassim Taleb can drive one crazy sometimes, his books are one of the most insightful current reads on risk available. All three are highly recommended.

Decision making

Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman

This book summarizes years of research on our flawed ways to make decisions in a really brilliant way. Great for beginners and enjoyable read for those who are not new to the issues of decision making.

The Intelligent Investor: The Definitive Book on Value Investing (Revised Edition) by Benjamin Graham

The book recommended by so many and followed by so few. While at the moment there are probably better books for those seeking practical advice, it is part of the history and a must read for everyone even half-serious about investing.
